Dictionary cleanup left 26 card senses needing your call

Today’s re-read of the Tuttle dictionary found that a parsing bug had invented a batch of fake extra meanings years ago. 26 of your word cards had cited one of those fake meanings when they were written. Most of what they cited turns out to have been fake and is now gone for good; a smaller share turns out to have been real material that just landed in the wrong spot and has now been moved to its correct home. How to read this

What the tags mean

Every item below cites one or more old Tuttle dictionary entries. Here’s what each tag on a citation means.
SURVIVES
Real, now has its own clean home. The old text was a genuine meaning; the cleanup gave it its own correct dictionary sense instead of an error-prone footnote.
EVAPORATES
Fake, never real, gone. A parsing bug invented this as a separate meaning years ago. It has been removed; there is nothing to relocate.
EVAPORATES → RELOCATED
Marked “gone” in the raw data at that exact spot — but the content is not actually lost. A reviewer’s note confirms it was correctly reattached as its own clean sense elsewhere. Functionally the same as SURVIVES.
EVAPORATES → FOLDED (partial)
Only one case (satu). The content didn’t carry over as its own standalone meaning — it got folded into one specific phrase’s meaning instead. The card’s old claim needs a closer look, not a straight carry-over.

The satu class

satu’s old citation “same direction” didn’t carry over as its own standalone meaning — it got folded into the phrase satu arah instead of standing alone as a general sense of the bare word. This is the architect’s reference example for when a definition over-claims and needs curation rather than a straight carry-over.

Where this data came from

Re-derived read-only from t070_study_card_catalog (card_tier=2, enrichment_version=‘v4.0’, visibility=‘hidden’), joined child→parent for lemma text, cross-joined on reference_provenance->sense_anchors where source=‘tuttle-compact-2013’ and sense_index>0. Each anchor’s old gloss text was checked for survival (as a case-insensitive substring) in the re-parsed bare-headword senses.

Numbering note: a card’s own “sense number” (shown on every item above, e.g. “sense 2”) is a different axis from Tuttle’s old internal sense index shown in each item’s Provenance box. They are not the same count and should not be read as the same position.

Regenerated after: a review REQUEST-CHANGES on a prior pass, to fix a leading-run over-merge bug. Every verdict on this board is identical to the pre-fix table — the fix only changed where a sense boundary falls for SURVIVES cases (each now lands as its own clean sense instead of merging into sense 0), not which citations evaporate vs. survive.
